The Kim Dae-jung Library and the Oslo Center for peace and human rights have formed a partnership so that both organizations can benefit from the knowledge and skill of the other. The Agreement on Cooperation formed between the two organizations state that the partnership will include the possible exchange of information in the form of reports, personnel, analysis, and assessments.
The agreement also states that each agree to participate, whenever possible, in any conferences and seminars organized by one or both of the organizations. Recently the Oslo Center’s founder and president, former Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, spoke at the Gwangju Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates on the subject of Korea’s future as a divided nation.
The Kim Dae-jung Library looks forward to the future exchange of information and cooperation with the newly established Oslo Center, which hopes to be in full operation by this fall. Both the Kim Dae-jung Library and the Oslo Center are dedicated to promoting peace and human rights and they hope that this collaboration will allow both organizations better serve this purpose.
